The weather has been too bad for fishing. This morning I walked along the moat around Matsue Castle listening to Selena Gomez’s “The Heart Wants What It Wants”. I found a grey heron quietly standing in the moat. You can often see this beautiful bird around the moat and at the shore of Lake Shinji. A grey heron is my favorite bird, probably because sometimes I can’t help identifying myself with the bird. They catch fish alone, too. By the way, there is no lure in the photos above. No need to place a lure in the photos because those are about fishing. It was not I but the bird that was fishing.
（天候が悪くて、ずっと釣りにいけません。今朝、セレーナ・ゴメスの「The Heart Wants What It Wants」を聴きながら、松江城をめぐるお堀を歩きました。アオサギがお堀の中に静かに立っています。お堀の周りや宍道湖岸でよく見られる美しい鳥です。アオサギは、私のいちばん好きな鳥なのです。それはおそらく、私が時々、この鳥を自分と同一視してしまうからでしょう。アオサギもまた、独りで魚を捕ります。ところで、今回の写真にお約束のルアーは出てきません。今回は、写真にルアーを入れる必要はなし。なぜなら魚釣りの写真だからです。私ではなく鳥が魚を捕ろうとしています。）
