I was so impressed with the white churning water in Kurauchi Bay yesterday that I visited the bay again this afternoon. The water looked the same as yesterday. This kind of white churning water is called sarashi in Japanese. Today I was alone there. Standing on the spot where another fisherman was standing yesterday, I started fishing about 4 p.m. Then, I gradually moved eastward and finally got to the spot called Kawashimo according to the useful “Sanin Fishing Spot Guidebook.” I didn’t catch any fish, and I didn’t like to go all the way back. So I climbed up bushy slope forcefully to the road in the mountain, which leads to my car.
（倉内湾で昨日見た、激しくかき混ぜられた白い水がとても印象的だったので、私は今日の午後、再び湾に出かけました。海は昨日と同じように見えました。このように激しくかき混ぜられた白い水のことを、日本語では「サラシ」と言います。今日は私は一人ぼっちでした。昨日、もう一人の釣り人が立っていた場所に立ち、午後４時頃から私は釣り始めました。そして少しずつ東に移動して行き、有益なガイドブック『山陰の釣り場総覧』によれば、川下と呼ばれる場所に着きました。魚は何も釣れず、私は来た道をはるばる引き返したくはありませんでした。ですので、やぶだらけの斜面を、山中の道路まで力づくで登り、車に戻ったのでした。）
