As I mentioned in my earlier post today, this afternoon I went back to Nanbo, a breakwater in Etomo Harbor. A pair of lure fishermen already occupied the tip of it when I arrived at the spot about 4 p.m. I told them that there would be a good chance for them to catch Japanese sea bass or Japanese Spanish mackerels. Shortly afterward one of them caught a fluke. He told me that it was the first time that he had caught the fish.
（今日の前回の投稿で触れた通り、午後に私は、恵曇港の防波堤の一つ、南防に戻りました。私が到着した午後４時には、すでに２人組みのルアー釣り師が南防の先端で釣りをしていました。私は彼らに、スズキかサワラが釣れる可能性があると伝えました。そしてすぐに、そのうちのお一人がヒラメを釣りました。ヒラメを釣ったのは始めてだと彼は私に言いました。）
He didn’t know very well how to treat the fish properly. So I did the procedure called Chinuki in Japanese for him. I cut the gill of the fish to let blood out from it. Then, only in a short period just before sunset, boils appeared right in front of us. I caught two young Japanese Spanish mackerels with an Acme Kastmaster XL. The fish spat out small baitfish. The pair also caught some of the fish. I was busy not only catching the fish for myself but also doing Chinuki for them. They seemed kind of beginners. I was happy to help them to have fun. Lastly, I would like to thank the guy who had informed me of the tip about the baitfish.
（その方は、ヒラメの正しい処理の仕方を御存知ありませんでした。ですので私は、日本語で「血抜き」という処理をしてあげました。魚のエラを切断して、血を抜くのです。その後、日没直前の短い間に、目の前でナブラが立ちました。私は、アクメ・キャストマスターXLで２匹のサゴシ（若いサワラ）を釣りました。サゴシは小さなベイトフィッシュ（大きな魚の餌となる小魚）を吐き出しました。２人組みにも釣果がありました。私は、自分の魚を釣るだけでなく、彼らのために血抜きもしてあげたので、忙しくなりました。彼らはどうも、釣りという趣味を始めて日が浅いようにお見受けしました。彼らが釣りを楽しむお手伝いができて嬉しかったです。そして最後になりましたが、ベイトフィッシュについて情報を下さった方、ありがとうございました。）
