I woke up earlier
than usual, at 3:40 a.m., to be the first fisherman who would arrive at Nitaki
in Tayu today. I had wanted to fish from Nitaki in my last two outings, but the
spot had been already occupied on both occasions. Today finally I became the
first to arrive at the spot, but it was a close contest. As soon as I got off my
car at one of parking lots around Tayu Harbor, a car arrived and the driver
turned out to be another lure fisherman who also planned to fish from Nitaki.
Eventually the lure fisherman and I peacefully shared the spot with Shun-san, a
fishing buddy of mine who came later to Nitaki.
（今日は、手結のニタキに一番乗りするために、いつもより早い時刻、午前３時40分に起きました。前回および前々回の釣行でも、私はニタキから釣りたかったのですが、２回とも、先客がいらしたのでした。今日はついに一番乗りを果たしたのですが、きわどい勝負でした。手結港にある駐車場の一つで車を降りるやいなや、別の車がやって来て、運転されていたのは、私と同様にニタキでの釣りを計画されていたルアー釣り師だったのです。結局、この方と私は、遅れてやって来た私の釣り友達であるShunさんも含めて、仲良くニタキで釣りをしたのでした。）
The three of us
cast our favorite lures while enjoying comfortable chats very much. In the
water plenty of small fish such as the pearl-spot chromis were swimming
comfortably, too. They might have known no predatory fish such as the
yellowtail amberjack were around. The sea was so calm and peaceful that I enjoyed
swimming much more than fishing. The local professional fisherman, whom I had
met about two weeks ago in the water around Takanishi, slowly swam toward us. I had
a nice chat with him, too, and then took pictures of him picking turban
shells. He was surrounded by plenty of the pearl-spot chromis.
（私たち３人は、気楽な会話を大いに楽しみながら、お気に入りのルアーを投げました。海の中でもまた、スズメダイのようなたくさんの小魚が気楽に泳いでいました。小魚たちは、ヒラマサのような肉食魚が周囲にいないことを知っていたのかもしれません。海はとても穏やかで平穏でしたので、私は釣りよりも、水泳を大いに楽しみました。地元の漁師さんが、ゆっくりと私たちの方に泳いでこられました。２週間ほど前に高西の周囲の海中でお会いした方でした。私はこの漁師さんともおしゃべりをし、そしてサザエを獲られているところを撮影しました。たくさんのスズメダイが漁師さんを囲んでいるのでした。）
